Depression affects many people. In 1 Kings 19 we find a depressed prophet - and we see how God graciously helps him, body, mind and spirit.
Depression and mental illness have physical, psychological and spiritual aspects. Our gracious God cares for us and brings restoration in each of these areas.
This sermon was preached at Pakenham Lakeside Church on Sunday 23rd June, 2019.

Psalm 8 O Lord how majestic is your name

Monday Jun 17, 2019
Psalm 8 says:
O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth...
When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and stars, which you set in place - what is humanity that you are mindful of them, the son of man that you care for him?
This sermon explores the wonders of God's creation, its brokenness through humans taking God's glory for themselves, and restoration through 'the Son of Man,' the true human, Jesus Christ.
It was preached at Pakenham Lakeside Church on Sunday 16th June, 2019.
It can be enhanced by the Prezi zooming visuals found at this link.

Saturday Jun 08, 2019
Saturday Jun 08, 2019
Do you find it difficult to find joy in your life sometimes?
In Acts 16, joy is found in unexpected places...joy for Paul and Silas after being beaten and thrown into prison. Joy for a Philippian jailer as he finds new life in believing in Jesus.
Our persecuted brothers and sisters also find joy in unexpected places.
When Jesus is with us, our joy transcends our circumstances.
This sermon was preached on Sunday 2nd June 2019 at Pakenham Lakeside Church.
